Settle is a charity that supports care-experienced people moving into their first home. I ran a series of open-ended creative workshops with their young members where they could explore and debate what they wanted to portray in the film. A core theme started to emerge: the feeling of being 'inexperienced' in the game of rules and processes that shape our access to housing, education, and employment.

This was a true collaboration - I acted as a conduit for the young people’s ideas, offering the technical and logistical foundation so that they could take on the creative roles that interested them, making the film they wanted to make and telling their own stories in their own words.
